About Grit to Grace

Grit to Grace is a community for women who are navigating transition, purpose, and becoming. It was created for the woman who has done the work, carried responsibility, and kept going even when the path wasn’t clear. The woman who knows there is more inside of her, but is learning how to move with intention, faith, and alignment.

Grit to Grace exists to create space for that journey. Rooted in faith and led with care, the community offers room to pause, reflect, and discern what God is calling you to in this season. It is not about rushing to the next title or outcome, but about tending to the soil before building what comes next.

Our Approach

We believe purpose is revealed over time, not forced. Through intimate in-person and virtual gatherings, Purpose Partner sessions, prayer, conversation, and practical guidance, Grit to Grace supports women as they translate clarity into intentional next steps. Whether you are discerning a new direction, building something meaningful, or simply seeking Godly community, this is a space where your assignment is honored and supported.

Who It’s For

Grit to Grace is for women who:
-
Are in a season of transition or realignment
-
Desire faith-centered community and accountability
-
Feel called to build with intention, not urgency
-
Want space to be honest, reflective, and supported

Our Heart

We believe seeds don’t thrive in isolation. Grit to Grace was founded on the truth that purpose grows best in healthy soil and in the presence of godly community. Here, you don’t have to carry the vision alone. You are seen, supported, and reminded that grace is not the absence of effort, but the presence of God in the process.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Kenisha Dennis.

I began this work at 16 years old, responding to a calling that was already shaping my life. What started as a single step of obedience has become a lifelong commitment to building meaningful impact and walking alongside women and girls as they step into who God created them to be.
Through building and leading Black Girls Can for more than a decade, I learned something important early on. Purpose is powerful, but it can feel heavy when you’re carrying it by yourself.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to steward work trusted by organizations like Meta, Warner Bros., Microsoft, NARS Cosmetics, Shiseido Americas, the U.S. Department of Education, and the White House Initiative on Black Americans. But just as important as any partnership or recognition is what the work taught me about sustainability, faith, and the need for real community.

That’s what led me to create Grit to Grace.
Grit to Grace is a community for women who feel the pull of purpose and want to walk it out with both grit and grace. It’s a place to have honest conversations, pray, get clear, and take meaningful steps forward without burning out. Inside the community, you’ll find purpose conversations, gatherings, and retreats designed to support clarity, action, rest, and real connection.

If you’re looking for a space where you can be honest about where you are, explore what God is calling you to do, and walk alongside women who understand the weight of carrying an assignment, you belong here.

Purpose was never meant to be carried alone. We’re here with you.
